Margaret – a widow, grumpy because scared by the world – keeps being visited by Stan, a serenely stubborn coffee and cake addict with down syndrome. He won't believe the loss of his brother Fred and keeps looking for him. Many coffees and cakes later, Margaret decides to show him ‘heaven' - where Fred is. When Margaret's overstrained daughter finds out about their preparations she threads Margaret to get a legal guardian. In a haste, Margaret kidnaps Stan from his institution and they get lost on their way to 'heaven', in a snow storm on a mountain...
